Members and guests enjoyed a splendid day of golf, good company and fine food at Essendon on Tuesday 14 July.
The day began at 12:00 with bacon rolls and coffee or tea, followed by a welcome from Captain Chris Sunderland. We then took on a testing 18 holes on Essendon’s Old Course. The course was playing relatively short thanks to generous runs on the fairways, but the greens proved demanding, with several unusual borrows to negotiate.
After golf we shared a pleasant two-course dinner in the upper barn, after which Captain Chris Sunderland presented the prizes as follows.
